We are looking for an inspiring and ambitious individual to become the next Head of History and Politics at Farlingaye High School. This is a full-time, permanent post starting in January 2026.
You will be leading a popular and successful History department with very strong uptake at GCSE, excellent outcomes, and a committed team of talented and experienced teachers. The department benefits from well-resourced teaching facilities and a thriving programme of extra-curricular activities. In addition, you will oversee our Politics provision at A Level, providing leadership and quality assurance. While there is no requirement to teach Politics, you will play a key role in shaping its future within the faculty.
Farlingaye High School is a popular and successful school, located in Woodbridge, a pleasant market town situated on the River Deben in Suffolk and just 7 miles from Ipswich. We are a creative school with excellent resources, lovely students and great results. Our most recent Ofsted report graded us Good with Outstanding areas.
