We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to support the VMU Manager and help lead a busy workshop team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant and on the road — minimising downtime and making sure all work meets legal and operator licence standards.

Key Accountabilities
* Promote a strong Health & Safety culture
* Lead, motivate and support the VMU team. Coach and develop the team including training apprentices.
* Make sure all vehicles are inspected, serviced and repaired to company standard and legal requirements under our Operators Licence are met
* Ensure maintenance paperwork is completed accurately and on time
* Keep workshop stock at the right levels and manage parts, fuel etc to maximise efficiency.
* Create and manage service maintenance schedules
The Right Person
Essential
* City & Guilds Level 3/4 in HGV/LGV Maintenance & Repair
* Experience as a commercial vehicle technician
* Good knowledge of diagnostic equipment (DAF, Iveco or similar), electrical systems and tail lifts
* Willing to work shifts (Days and lates rota finishing by 9pm)
Desirable
* Supervisory experience
* C + E license
