Overview
Electronics Hardware Design Engineer required for an automatic test equipment company based in Abingdon. You will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be responsible for the design and development of digital and analogue circuits.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop digital and analogue electronic circuits.
* Embedded software development.
* Use of 16/32‑bit microcontrollers (PIC, MSP430, Cortex).
* Design using op‑amp and oscillator circuits.
* Apply low‑noise design techniques.
* Implement ADCs (16‑24 bit).
* Use schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
* Apply electro‑mechanical principles with motors and actuators.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience with PLCs and programming in Ladder Logic or Structured Text.
* Knowledge of control systems engineering.
* Experience with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware.
* Understanding of test and measurement principles.
* Initiatives that reduce carbon and manufacturing costs.
