Job Description
Our client is based in modern offices located in a historical Suffolk town, right in the heart of the town centre, minutes from the main bus station with routes servicing the surrounding area, or free parking available also very close to the office.
The company, a firm of chartered certified accountants, who have been nominated for multiple industry awards including “Best Independent Firm of the Year for East of England”, has engaged our services exclusively to recruit a Senior Accountant.
Reporting to the senior leadership team this important role in the firm will include:
* Working on a mixture of sole trade, partnership and limited company accounts, through to partner review level, predominately small to medium entities.
* Draft corporation tax computations, income tax computations for unincorporated businesses and capital allowances computations for both.
* Undertaking bookkeeping and quarterly VAT Returns for a variety of clients.
* Managing and resolving ad hoc bookkeeping, VAT and accountancy queries from clients.
* Over-seeing the work of less senior staff on accounts preparation jobs and acting as mentor.
To apply for this vacancy, it is imperative that you have proven experience working in an accountancy practice to recent UK regulations, undertaking similar tasks –
* Financial accounting for SME’s
* Bookkeeping
* VAT returns
* Corporate and income tax
* Capital Allowances

You will be either qualified (ACCA, ACA, AAT) or have amassed enough experience to be qualified by experience.
As an experienced Senior Accountant, you will be comfortable working autonomously on projects and have the organisational skills to multi-task, managing different jobs at any one time, and the communication abilities to liaise with internal and external contacts with confidence and diplomacy.
