My client is a leading organisation in the sustainable waste management sector, and they are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team. Your new role:
1. Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies to ensure a reliable supply of critical goods, services, and works.
2. Independently run end-to-end tender processes whichply with the new Procurement Act 2023.
3. Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders throughout the end-to-end procurement process, from market analysis to contract award.
4. Drive continuous improvement by optimising supplier performance, achieving cost savings, and improving efficiency.
5. Champion sustainable procurement practices and collaborate with internal teams and key suppliers to mitigate risks and maximise value.
6. Ensurepliance with public sector procurement regulations while managing a range of procurement projects and frameworks.
Please note that this role is based full-time in the office, so you will need to be able tomit to travelling to the office in Leyland 5 days per week.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
7. A proven background in public-sector procurement at a similar level where you have been responsible for managing your own procurement projects from start to finish.
8. End-to-end tendering experience under PA23 (or PCR2015/FTS).
9. Ideally, you will be at least Level 5 CIPS qualified, but this is not an essential requirement.
10. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information andmunicate it clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
11. Excellent report writing skills, including the preparation of business cases, tender documents, and analysis of savings and improvements.
12. A keen eye for detail, a proactive approach, and a passion for driving sustainable, efficient, and effective procurement processes.
13. Ability tomute to the office in Leyland 5 days per week.
