Estimator / Quantity Surveyor - Residential & Care Developments
Location: New Forest & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + package (dependent on experience)
A well-established and growing main contractor is seeking an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. The business delivers a range of high-quality residential and care developments across the South of England and is known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships, and commitment to excellence.
The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor who enjoys variety in their work. You'll be involved in both pre-construction and live project management, working closely with the operations, design, and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions
Managing project costs through all stages, from procurement to final account
Assessing and valuing subcontractor packages and variations
Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
Attending site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
Supporting pre-construction and business development activities About You:
Previous experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or developer
Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial, education sectors
Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred What's on Offer:
