Band 3 Patient Pathway Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator to join a busy Orthopaedic Admin department. If you enjoy working in a varied role within a busy office environment, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a strong team committed to providing the highest quality care, we look forward to receiving your application.

Applicants must be team players, have excellent organisational skills, and be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Accuracy and prioritisation skills are also essential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Patient Pathway Coordinators and admin managers, supporting administrative services. The ability to handle multiple issues and operational matters is crucial.


Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathways of care. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC) in managing the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring smooth processes throughout.

The role requires ensuring high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being accessible, customer-focused, and knowledgeable. The post holder will use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure functions are carried out correctly within specified timescales, providing a consistent approach across the Trust.
