Overview of Role
We are currently recruiting for a Line Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic to join the Engineering Maintenance Team based at our new Southampton Base. The purpose of this role is to carry out all aspects of aircraft maintenance as instructed, while maintaining the highest levels of safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist Licensed Engineers and other Mechanics in delivering the maintenance workload effectively and economically.
2. Ensure maintenance activity is carried out safely, correctly documented, in compliance with established procedures and in observance of the company Health and Safety policy.
3. Communicate effectively with all members of the Engineering Maintenance team, Flight Crew, and other internal departments.
4. Ensure Licensed Engineers are fully briefed on any defects discovered during aircraft maintenance.
5. Maintain cleanliness and order within the facility.
6. Coordinate with fleet technical service engineers regarding reliability, defect analysis, and investigation.
7. Communicate with the Station/Check Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or Licensed Engineers about the efficient operation of maintenance tasks, health and safety issues, and suggestions for improvements.
8. Participate in Continuous Improvement activities within engineering and the organization.

* Problem analysis, solution identification, and effective communication skills.
* Clear communication skills at individual and group levels.
* Proficient in the use of OASES Engineering Computer System.

Salary and Benefits
Starting salary of £41,870, with potential to earn up to £50,880 depending on experience. Benefits include worldwide discounted staff travel and life assurance.
