Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various wooden structures and components. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Joiner will be responsible for contributing to projects that may include roofing, masonry, and other construction tasks.
Duties
* Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications and drawings.
* Operate power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
* Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
* Carry out joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, and cabinets.
* Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to industry standards.
* Assist in painting and finishing tasks as needed to complete projects.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a solid understanding of joinery techniques.
* Proficiency in using various power tools relevant to the trade.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work.
* Knowledge of masonry techniques is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence may be beneficial for travel between job sites.
