Job Duties:
1. Supporting classroom activities and assisting teachers in lesson delivery
2. Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support
3. Assisting in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
4. Supervising students during break times and off-site activities
5. Helping to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
Required Qualifications:
6. GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
7. Previous experience working with children or young people
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Minimum of GCSE level education
Experience:
Experience working with children or young people
Knowledge and Skills:
9. Understanding of classroom dynamics and educational practises
10. Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
11. Strong communication and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
12. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
13. First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
14. Normal school hours, Monday to Friday
15. Varied tasks requiring physical mobility and standing for extended periods
16. Potential exposure to challenging behaviour or situations
