Description Do you have experience of designing and developing learning material to cater for wide audiences, including using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite and video editing software? If you're organised and confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines, this could be the role for you. This role is part of the Organisational Development team, which plays a key role within Social Security Scotland’s People Services function, designing and delivering learning activities across Social Security Scotland. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of colleagues in different roles across Social Security Scotland and other Scottish Government departments. In this role, you will develop and design the organisations portfolio of learning offerings by mapping flexible learning plans for new and existing colleagues across operational learning, management capabilities and continuous development. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and delivery of the technical, skills and behavioural learning that will support delivery of Scotland’s devolved benefits in line with the Business Plan. Responsibilities Responsibilities Work in partnership with Subject Matter Experts, Learning Consultants and clients to identify specific learning outcomes. Design learning solutions to meet the needs of Social Security Scotland's diverse workforce to deliver an exemplary public service, in line with our principles of dignity, fairness and respect. Work with Programme, Policy and Service Design teams to assess the learning needs and requirements to ensure the successful launch of remaining devolved benefits. In partnership with Learning Consultants, identify learning and development needs and provide consultation on best practice for all Social Security Scotland colleagues. Build collaborative relationships with external partners to ensure lived experience is included in learning design. Design and develop accessible and inclusive learning material in line with WCAG 2.2 using a variety of platforms such as Articulate 360 suite and video editing software aligned with established design models. Ensure full Quality Assurance of new materials utilising Quality Assurance panels that include subject matter, accessibility and inclusive communication experts. Facilitate and deliver aspects of the learning programme. Technical / Professional Skills: Project Management – Applies project management approaches to deliver an activity or event. - Foundation Level These technical skills will be assessment using the CIPD Profession Framework. Experience: Experience of designing and developing learning material using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite and video editing software in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards. Working pattern Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options, depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices.
