Due to a retirement within the team, our award winning HFMA Finance Team of the Year 2020 is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Corporate Accountant to join our team.
We are looking for individuals with strong analytical and communication skills to provide expert business and finance knowledge and advice to corporate, clinical and operational staff to help ensure long term financial stability and viability.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on challenge, is highly motivated and with the drive, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a strategically challenging and rewarding healthcare environment.
The interview process will consist of an interview including a 10-minute presentation.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with a range of Corporate Services, playing a significant role in supporting delivery of the Trust’s objectives in providing a high quality and patient focused finance service including assisting in managing budgets, planning service developments, identifying and achieving CIP targets and supporting revenue requests. We are keen to support innovation and build upon recent initiatives such as implementing Working Day 1 and using Power BI dashboards.
You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail. You will be proficient in influencing others, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
You will be a fully qualified CCAB accountant.

To provide high quality financial information, support and advice to managers and clinicians in a range of corporate divisions. Responsible for a team of management accounts staff to ensure that budgets are set correctly, updated as necessary and monitored continually during the year producing accurate and regular management reports and financial information.

* CCAB Qualified Accountant
* Continuing Professional Development (mandatory to retain qualification)
* ECDL or equivalent experience

* Significant senior level experience in financial management
* Experience in producing business cases and involvement in business planning
* Experience of staff management

* Experience of producing training plans

* In depth knowledge of the main aspects of NHS Finance, particularly those relevant to financial management
