Salary Range:£1,413 - £5,652 per annum, plus additional incident call out payments
Hours per week:Minimum of 31 on-call hours per week

The Role:
An on-call firefighter is a paid person employed by the fire and rescue service who is ‘on call’ to respond to emergencies and engage with their community. They have everyday lives and jobs, until their pager sounds - then they become professional firefighters.
The work may be called ‘part-time’, but on-call firefighters are trained and experienced on the front line, saving lives and protecting people and assets. They are paid for their services, receive thorough training, and learn emergency response skills and personal development.
On-call firefighters come from all community areas. They could be men or women working full or part-time, self-employed, students, or unemployed. They dedicate their time to assisting the fire and rescue service and protecting communities.
This role is demanding but rewarding, offering the chance to make a real difference. You will develop close teamwork and participate in community events.
On-call firefighters respond to various incidents including fires, floods, road accidents, chemical spills, and animal rescues.
Previous Experience: No prior experience needed; training provided. Enthusiasm and meeting essential requirements are key. Physical fitness is crucial as you must reach the fire station quickly after being alerted.
Eligibility: Must live or work within 4 minutes of the Fire Station; applications outside this range will be rejected.
