SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Telford
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £88.92 - £110 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing
Monarch Education is working with a school in Telford seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a proactive approach. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviours and providing emotional support to students who may require additional assistance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
2. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
3. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through proactive support and guidance.
4. Help students overcome barriers to learning, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.
5. Support the development of social and emotional skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
6. Assist with classroom management, promoting positive interactions and behaviour among peers.
