We’re working with a long-standing engineering consultancy that provides high-level technical expertise across major infrastructure and energy projects. Known for their work in structural integrity, risk, and performance assessments, they support clients in sectors where precision, safety, and compliance are non-negotiable. They’re now looking to appoint a Chartered Senior Mechanical Engineering Consultant to lead the delivery of complex mechanical engineering assignments.
Their successful candidate will be a key part of the business managing projects from design through to operational optimisation, contributing expert insight into structural and stress assessments, and supporting the development of junior engineers across the team.
Their ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer with demonstrable experience in structural integrity or mechanical reliability engineering. You’ll be confident leading technical teams, have an expert grasp of pressure systems and relevant design codes, and bring hands-on experience with software like ABAQUS, ANSYS, or CAESAR II. The role offers a competitive salary of up to c£60,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a solid benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and professional growth. Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering projects across design, operational, and R&D phases
Communicate clearly with clients, regulators, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard and in line with deadlines
Demonstrable experience in mechanical or structural integrity engineering
Background in high-integrity sectors such as Oil & Gas or Nuclear
Strong experience with engineering software including ABAQUS, ANSYS, and CAESAR II
Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver complex engineering assessments
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Full UK driving license essential
