M&E Administration Manager
We are working with a well-established property maintenance and installation contractor delivering services to Local Authority and Housing Association clients across gas, heating and compliance workstreams.
They are now seeking an experienced M&E Administration Manager to lead and transform their administration function across multiple operational areas.
This is not a traditional admin role. It's a senior leadership position focused on driving performance, improving systems and leading managers to deliver at pace.
The Role
Reporting to the M&E Contracts Director, you will take full strategic and operational ownership of the M&E administration function across:
* Compliance
* Repairs
* Installations
* Commercial Works
* Scheduling
You will ensure seamless end-to-end administrative flow from first customer contact through to job completion, aligning teams with operational delivery and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & People Management
* Lead and develop multiple Team Managers and large administration teams
* Set clear objectives and performance standards aligned to operational goals
* Drive accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
* Support succession planning and talent development
* Operational Excellence
* Identify and remove process bottlenecks and inefficiencies
* Align contact centre activity with downstream admin processes
* Ensure administration supports operational priorities and client obligations
* Performance & Continuous Improvement
* Analyse management information and KPI performance data
* Translate insight into practical improvement plans
* Present recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Embed sustainable process improvements
* Governance & Risk
* Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual and regulatory standards
* Maintain strong controls, audit trails and governance
* Proactively manage operational and people risk
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in a senior administrative, service or operations management role
* Experience leading multiple managers and high-volume teams
* Strong data analysis skills with the ability to turn insight into action
* Demonstrable experience working with KPIs, quality frameworks and performance management
* Confident stakeholder management skills across multiple departments
* Strategic thinker with a delivery-focused mindset
* Comfortable managing change in fast-paced environments
M&E industry experience is beneficial but not essential — strong leadership capability is the priority.
Qualifications
* Minimum 8 GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent
* First Aid at Work (1-Day) – Essential
* Display Screen Equipment Training – Essential
* NVQ in Customer Service or Business Administration – Desirable
