Job Description
3. Provide one-to-one and group support to students with special educational needs in the classroom.
4. Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lesson plans.
5. Encourage social interaction and promote self-esteem among pupils.
6. Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
7. Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
8. Support students during school activities, including outings and events.
9. Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
10. Provide administrative support related to student records and educational plans.
The Successful Applicant
A successful SEND Teaching Assistant should have:
11. Experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting.
12. A positive and patient attitude with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
13. Strong communication and organisational skills.
14. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
15. A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (preferred).
