Role Description
This is a hybrid role for an Estimator / Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) based in Crawley, with flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. Responsibilities include preparing project budgets and cost estimates, analysing project specifications, managing supplier and contractor relationships, supporting tender submissions, and monitoring ongoing projects to ensure they stay within budget. The role will also involve assisting in the preparation of accurate documentation and reports to support project management and financial planning.
Qualifications
* Ability to prepare and analyse project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports
* Skills in contract administration, measurement, and tender preparation
* Proficient in supplier/contractor coordination and procurement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and relevant estimation software
* Relevant educational qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
* Previous experience in the electrical industry is advantageous but not essential
