Retail Store Assistant
£12.21 per hour plus benefits
Reports to: Shop manager
Department: Trading
Location: Ilkley Shop
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Part time 16 hours per week (must be flexible across the week)

Role overview: We’re seeking a motivated store assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Your shop will be a community hub where people meet, understand our brand, and learn about our work. You’ll be surrounded by people equally dedicated to beating cancer.
Responsibilities:
* Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Working as part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
* Maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding, and health and safety.
* Building relationships with the community and colleagues.
* Supporting fundraising events.
* Taking keyholder responsibilities (training provided).
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as required.
Candidate requirements:
* Understanding of great customer service.
* Experience in a busy customer service environment.
* Ability to manage workload independently.
* Teamwork skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
