This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior or Principal Scientist to lead the establishment and execution of innovative translational preclinical models, contribute to client success, and shape the future of preclinical research at Pharmidex.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead in establishing, developing, and validating preclinical models, focusing on respiratory disease, oncology, and infection.
* Serve as Study Director, managing studies from planning to data reporting and interpretation.
* Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized laboratory environment.
* Support and supervise technical staff across projects.
* Engage with clients and collaborators to ensure successful study delivery and relationships.
* Contribute to internal reviews, innovation, and cross-functional discussions.
Your Background:
* BSc/MSc/PhD in Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field.
* At least 3-5 years of preclinical experience in pharma, biotech, or academic research.
* Experience with respiratory or oncology models.
* Possession or previous holding of a Home Office Personal Licence (PIL Modules 1–3 or equivalent).
* Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and independently manage projects.
* Familiarity with preclinical techniques including various administration routes.
* Proficiency in data analysis software such as GraphPad Prism or SPSS.
* Experience managing large, complex studies with good documentation and planning skills.
* Willingness to conduct occasional out-of-hours work.
Desirable (not essential):
* Experience with preclinical imaging (e.g., IVIS, microCT).
* Expertise in cell culture or ex-vivo sample analysis.
* Background in GLP or regulatory studies.
* Experience in client-facing roles or project oversight in a CRO.
