We're looking for a driven, hands-on Operations Team Lead to join Pilgrim's Europe at our Anwick site. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for leading people and performance on shift, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality and customer standards.
This is a key factory-floor leadership role where you'll make a real difference through strong people management, continuous improvement and living Pilgrim's Europe values every day.

Working Hours: 2-2-3 6am to 6pm
The Role
As an Operations Team Lead, you will:
Lead, motivate and develop Line Controllers and Operatives within your department
Ensure Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene and GMP standards are consistently met
Take ownership of line performance, yields, labour control and efficiency
Drive continuous improvement across people, processes and systems
Manage effective shift handovers, including paperwork and machinery changeovers
Monitor and control product quality, labelling and traceability
Support delivery of the daily production plan, escalating risks and variances promptly
Manage resources to minimise downtime and maximise output
Liaise with Planning, Technical, Engineering and other departments to deliver site targets
Support training, development and performance management of team members
Deal with first-line disciplinary and performance issues
Provide cover for the Production Manager when required
Flexibility is essential, including overtime and weekend working to meet business demands.
What We're Looking For
You'll bring:
Leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing or food production environment
Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good communication skills and a confident, hands-on leadership style
Good PC skills and strong attention to detail
The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Awareness of food manufacturing standards and customer service requirements
A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to use your own initiative
Desirable:
NVQ Level 4 / ILM qualification
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
