Supply Hive are working alongside a specialist alternative provision supporting learners aged 15–25 with SEND and SEMH needs. They offer a vocational, person-centred approach where students can build confidence, develop practical skills, and start thinking about their future pathways. This role sits within a growing Hair & Beauty provision, supporting learners working towards Entry Level and Level 1 qualifications. You’ll be delivering practical, engaging sessions while helping young people develop independence, life skills, and self-belief. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Hair & Beauty sessions tailored to individual learner needs Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions focused on practical skills, wellbeing, and independence Support learners working towards vocational qualifications with guidance and feedback Embed Maths, English, and employability skills into practical learning Adapt sessions to support learners with SEND, SEMH, and EHCPs Build positive, trusting relationships using a calm, trauma-informed approach Create a supportive environment that builds confidence and engagement Support learners progressing through different stages of their learning journey Maintain accurate records of progress, engagement, and outcomes Work collaboratively with colleagues on planning and resources Requirements Hair & Beauty qualification (Level 2 or above preferred) Experience supporting or mentoring young people (ideally SEND/SEMH) Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport A patient, empathetic and learner-centred approach Confidence planning and delivering engaging practical sessions Flexibility to adapt to different learners and needs Good organisation and record-keeping skills Basic IT skills and confidence using systems GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites required) Willingness to complete a Level 3 Education & Training qualification if not already held At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
