Arrangement: 40 Hours per week/8 Hour days- Permanent
Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office, 2 days at home.

You will be based out of Bristol and Bridgwater offices with the potential to work from HPC site when required. This is a hybrid role with the possibility of combining work from home and in the office.
The successful individual will be required to work in a team of engineers to deliver part of the Spares Engineering Work Scope. This work scope includes delivery of spares strategies for all systems across HPC, delivery of the obsolescence strategy for HPC, deliver strategic spares strategy for HPC and deliver of standardisation of spares strategy for HPC.
This includes technical analysis, optimisation, selection, approval, and procurement of strategic and non-strategic spare parts. The role also will involve liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, with a real focus on co-ordinating with other disciplines to deliver projects.
Principal Accountabilities (will include some/not all of the following)
1. Produce technical reviews recommending procurement of spare parts for mechanical/electrical and I&C equipment.
2. Present technical reviews to stakeholders to seek endorsement.
3. Ensure alignment with commissioning and maintenance program needs.
4. Management of project phase equipment obsolescence.
5. Develop initial engineering solutions and recommend procurement of components.
6. Deliver and develop processes for how we will conduct business in the project phase and in plant operation.
7. Own the procurement of Strategic Spares, producing technical reports recommending strategic spares based on ODC guidance.
8. Provide oversight during manufacturing by attending works i.e. FATs and RRMs.
9. Support delivery and storage arrangements for strategic spares.
10. Management of the standardised spares list, making sure the spares are delivered in line with commissioning and maintenance need dates
11. Maintain interfaces and develop relationships (technical & functional) with other HPC departments EPR Family Stations and EDF Energy’s existing Nuclear Business;
12. Research operating experience from the wider industries applicable to the HPC project and promote its use and application to make HPC a World Class performer;
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
13. Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Process Engineering or similar field
5+ years experience in a similar role
14. Previous background in the nuclear industry is essential
15. Ability for occasional travel to supplier and client facilities
16. Driven and self-motivated. You will always be supported but you will quickly take on responsibility in different areas.
17. Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
18. Proficiency with Excel
19. Ability to read technical drawings, reports and information from various data sources
20. Be able to develop and follow procedures.
21. Have experience of working in a project environment.
22. Experience of dealing with a wide range of suppliers and customers (UK based and international).
23. Excellent Report (Technical Business Cases) Writing Skills
