Key Responsibilities for the Sales Manager:
1. Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of Business Develop Managers
2. Take a proactive, hands-on approach to sales, driving new business and increasing market share
3. Develop and execute sales strategies to support growth in the social housing sector and expansion into the private market
4. Build and nurture strong client relationships with housing associations, local authorities, contractors, and energy providers
5. Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings (in-person and via Teams)
6. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to maintain credibility and a competitive edge
7. Deliver regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to senior leadership.
Skills and Experience required for the Sales Manager:
8. Proven track record in B2B sales in the energy sector
9. Experience selling to social housing or public sector clients
10. Strong team leadership skills, able to manage, inspire and grow a sales team
11. Commercially savvy, with the ability to understand client needs and deliver solutions
