We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Attendance Welfare Officer to champion excellent attendance and reduce absence, with a particular focus on supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This is a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential and feel connected to our school community. You will:
Responsibilities
* Work closely with students, families, and staff to improve attendance.
* Conduct home visits and liaise with external agencies.
* Analyse attendance data and produce reports.
* Support safeguarding processes and follow school policies.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Experience working with disadvantaged students and families.
* ICT proficiency (MS Office, Bromcom, Class Charts).
* Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities. This role requires a DBS disclosure.
* Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
