Accounts & Audit Manager – Solihull Competitive Salary Benefits | Supportive Team | Career Progression Are you an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager seeking a new challenge in Solihull? A well-established and growing independent accountancy firm is looking for a skilled and driven professional to manage a diverse client portfolio, overseeing both accounts preparation and audit engagements from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Manage a varied client portfolio, leading accounts preparation and audit assignments from planning through to completion Lead, mentor, and support audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high-quality outputs Review and analyse financial statements, audit files, and related documents, providing guidance and feedback to junior staff Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights on business performance, planning, and compliance matters Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to deliver additional services Collaborate with senior management and partners on business development initiatives to support firm growth Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends Contribute to the training and development of junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement Key Skills & Qualifications Proven experience managing accounts preparation and audit engagements in an accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and accounting principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a proactive, problem-solving approach Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a solid track record in audit and accounts preparation Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Why Join Us?
