The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for bringing in new customer business for one or more of our business lines, delivering on quarterly new business targets. You will understand our customers’ needs and identify new sales opportunities through channels such as calls, emails, and meetings.
Opportunities will come from inbound leads, self-generated prospects, and colleagues focusing on prospecting. You will qualify opportunities and progress the sales cycle from identification to close.
This is a growth-focused role with a sales quota. You will need to meet quarterly targets and monthly activity KPIs, driven by success in these areas.
To succeed, you should develop knowledge of the market, including trends in Technology and Education, and how RM’s products and services connect to these to help educators and learners.
Responsibilities
Opportunity Generation & Qualification
* Develop new sales opportunities via outbound cold emails, calls, and lead follow-ups, using collateral and content provided by colleagues and your own creative approaches.
* Utilize databases to identify target opportunities.
* Engage with target customers to understand their needs, identify sales opportunities, and qualify them for RM.
* Build knowledge of our products, services, and market needs.
* Collaborate with Product marketing and Prospecting teams for successful campaigns.
* Manage opportunities through the sales pipeline, delivering against targets.
* Track opportunities and ensure regular contact.
* Identify and mitigate risks within the pipeline to ensure timely progression.
* Prioritize opportunities and manage your time effectively.
* Accurately forecast sales opportunities.
* Maintain data within the CRM system.
Completing the Sales Cycle
* Manage the entire sales process from engagement to closing, including providing advice, quotes, and handling customer questions.
Experience
You will have experience of:
* Working within a customer environment, understanding needs and requirements.
* Proven sales performance and quota achievement.
* Developing and advancing a sales pipeline to close business.
* Previous experience in IT Sales.

* Enthusiastic, articulate, and effective communicator.
* Strong collaborator and team player.
* Independent, confident in managing customer relationships.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
* Comfortable with numbers and data analysis.
