Production Operative Location: Neath Band: F Purpose of the job: To work as part of a production team ensuring all shift production cylinder targets are achieved safely and to the correct specification. The job will involve a rotation of filling plant activities, cylinder loading duties and supervised cylinder refurbishment. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to a safety-first operation and incident free workplace, reporting any incident, injury or near miss and contributing to the hazard spot program. Deliver production targets set by the Shift Lead. Safely Operate machinery to meet production targets, rotating on filling and workstation activities as required by the Shift Lead. Unload and segregate workstation and scrap cylinders. The loading and unloading of cylinder trailers and rigids. Contribute to the gathering and reporting of production data for the Shift Lead and Plant Supervisors Comply with all applicable work instructions, risk assessments and operational bulletins. Assist in training new starters and support their integration into the team. Key Skills experience and knowledge: Experience of working in hazardous areas / heavy industry desirable Take personal ownership for Health & Safety and for those around you FLT license desirable although training will be provided Good understanding of workplace occupational and process safety Can follow work instructions and operate equipment safely Take accountability for personal performance and team contribution Ability to understand production targets Able to react effectively to emerging issues and take action to remain on track to meet objectives
