Job Description
I am currently recruiting for a military-trained mechanical engineer in or near the Bristol, Bath, Wells, or Taunton areas who is seeking to become an Engineer Surveyor. My client values ex-military engineers, and many of their existing engineers come from the military.
The successful Engineer Surveyor will join my client’s successful nationwide business. Ideally, you will be based around the Bristol, Bath, Wells, or Taunton areas, and your role will involve visiting customer sites to conduct inspections, examinations, and surveys on engineering equipment, including but not limited to cranes, lifting equipment, and pressurized systems. There might be some travel within the UK, typically amounting to only two overnight stays per month.
Engineer Surveyor Requirements:
1. Hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering and inspections.
3. Ability to learn new engineering solutions and disciplines.
4. Knowledge of cranes or lifting equipment is beneficial.
5. Strong communication skills, as this is a customer-facing role.
6. Flexibility to travel as per business needs.
7. Full UK driving license.
