The role
As a Principal Flight Dynamics Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will have the opportunity to join our mission‑critical team supporting the UK’s current and next‑generation military geostationary spacecraft constellation. In this role you will be executing satellite flight dynamics activities for the UK Skynet Service Delivery Wrap (SDW) program, supporting the safe and efficient operations of the Skynet satellite fleet to ensure mission capability and to maximise operational service life.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
* Performing orbit determination and planning manoeuvres to maintain the UK Skynet geosynchronous satellite fleet.
* Supporting daily flight dynamics operations including data analysis, propellant accounting, and product generation.
* Monitoring manoeuvre performance and refining satellite operational life estimates.
* Participating in satellite relocation, deorbiting, launches, and orbit transfers.
* Enhancing flight dynamics software through development, testing, and maintenance.
Essential experience
* Demonstrable proven experience in satellite flight dynamics, engineering, or operations.
* Strong analytical ability and programming skills.
* Experience of working in an engineering environment applying analytical skills.
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to express ideas clearly both verbally and written.
Qualifications
* Hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant technical field, preferably aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or a similar discipline.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance for this role.
