Our branch team leader volunteers lead their local team by supporting and managing volunteers within their group, maintaining communications with both volunteers and employees, and helping promote a positive and professional image of Cats Protection.
What difference will you make?
Cats Protection Pembrokeshire is a new branch and was formed in 2025. There are two committee members and a small team of volunteers, currently focusing on neutering and fundraising.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and plenty of enthusiasm to support the growth of the branch and make life better for cats in Pembrokeshire. This will involve continuing to develop our neutering and fundraising efforts, and also developing rehoming activity with the support of your Branch Development Manager.
The role is flexible, with no fixed days or times for volunteering - most of our Branch Team Leaders prefer to spread their volunteering over a few days each week to keep in touch with the branch activity. However we do ask that you attend committee meetings, normally held once a month online via MS Teams.
If you have leadership skills and a passion for cat welfare, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference in Pembrokeshire. You may be just the volunteer we’ve been looking for!
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, lots of enthusiasm, and most importantly a passion for cat welfare. This is a leadership role managing a team of volunteers, so previous leadership experience is essential.
Culture is very important at Cats Protection, so it is important that you align with our values. We are committed to building a diverse, compassionate and inclusive organisation where everyone can be themselves and do their best. We are courageous and compassionate in our purpose of helping people see the world through cats’ eyes. Together, we can make a difference.
A strong knowledge of cats and cat welfare is not required, so long as you are open to learning as there is training and support available in all aspects of the role. This will come from your Branch Development Manager and other supporting teams such as Veterinary, Cat Welfare Learning, and Volunteering Best Practise.
