Job Title- Multi Skilled Static (Electrical Bias Shift Engineer\n\nLocation- Cardiff\n\nWorking Hours- 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts), days and nights\n\nContract- Type Permanent\n\nOur client is one of the UK's foremost building services companies. They have got have an enviable reputation for the reliable delivery of cost and energy efficient building management, operational and technical solutions for businesses of all shapes and sizes - from retail parks to leisure complexes, educational establishments and commercial properties.\n\nPurpose and objectives of the role- We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled (Electrical Bias Shift) Engineer who can deliver high-quality service while completing routine maintenance tasks on our client site. The successful candidate will demonstrate autonomy, sound decision making, and the ability to manage their workload effectively without direct oversight.
They will also need to build strong working relationships with clients, site staff, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of buildings, carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance on and perform reactive and emergency breakdown tasks.\n\nMain duties and responsibilities \n\nCarry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports\nCarry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated paperwork.\nUse handheld technology within the allocated timescales\nAssist other team members when required or as directed by the Contract Supervisor/Contract Manager\nEnsure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.\nSupervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to the standard of work and Health and Safety, issue of appropriate Permits, controlling small works, escort duties as required.\nAll duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.\nTo understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time\nTo forge and maintain excellent customer relations with onsite clients at all times\nTo carry out work in a safe and diligent manner\nTo comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and report and health and safety incidence to the line manage and log this onto the system\nTo attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required\nTo undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required\nExperience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment\nIncluding, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables\nBatteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)\nKnowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.\nStrong customer care focus.\nGood communication skills.\nProactive\nAble to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults\nCapable of completing essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.Knowledge, skills & experience \n\nMust have 18th Edition\nMust be Qualified NVQ level 3, electrical apprenticeship\nExcellent communications\nExcellent rapport with clients\nMust be able to build excellent credibility with clients, colleagues and third parties\nMust have a minimum of 3 years of Facilities Maintenance experience\nMinimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role\nCleanroom experience (Desirable)\nAdopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.Benefits \n\n£2,500 shift allowance\n22 days holidays, increase after 5 years' service\nCompany Sick Pay Scheme\nRegular company socials\n5.7% employer Pension Contribution\nFree car parking (on some sites)\nFloat\nTrade Card\nStaff referral scheme\nBirthday voucher\nEmployee of the month voucherShift pattern: 4 on 4 off (mixture of days and nights-7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am). When a successful candidate starts, they will be on normal days first (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm)\n\nSalary: £40,000 plus a £2,500 shift allowance (£42.500 in total).
