Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new business growth within the UK Central Government sector. This is a strategic sales role focused on expanding our footprint across departments such as DEFRA, HMRC, the Home Office, and other government agencies.
Youll be responsible for identifying and converting opportunities for our IT services portfolio, including:
Digital Transformation & Consulting
Application Development & Maintenance
Cloud & Infrastructure Services
Data & Analytics
Cybersecurity
Artificial Intelligence & Automation
Enterprise Platforms (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft)
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a business development plan to grow revenues within key Central Government accounts.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities aligned with our service offerings.
Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in departments such as HMRC, Home Office, and DEFRA.
Collaborate closely with internal solution architects, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape client proposals.
Represent us at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
Maintain a strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks, buying cycles, and digital transformation priorities.
What Were Looking For
5+ years experience in selling IT Services, ideally from a Tier 1 IT services firm or consulting background.
Proven track record of sales success in the UK Central Government sector .
Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks (e.g., DOS, G-Cloud, CCS).
Experience in building strategic client relationships and managing complex sales cycles.
Ability to work independently, lead pursuits, and build internal stakeholder alignment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Existing network within government departments is highly desirable.
