Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a diverse range of special education needs within a school setting in Bedford, IN. This role offers the opportunity to deliver individualized instructional support and collaborate closely with educational staff to meet the unique requirements of students with disabilities over the uping school year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific learning needs.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide integrated support.
* Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the ongoing evaluation of student goals and services.
Desired Qualifications:
* Valid Special Education teaching certification.
* Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and special needs.
* Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
* Excellent munication and organizational skills.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs.
