Job Purpose
Lawson Fuses is on the cusp of a sustainable turnaround. The role holder will drive overall new sales and business development strategy implementation within target markets – primarily the Middle East & Africa, Asia Pacific and Europe – and will be accountable for developing and sustaining a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop and execute business‑development strategies aligned with the company’s budget and medium‑term plans.
* Create go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches within assigned regions.
* Identify key partnerships to build long‑term opportunities.
* Generate and qualify new leads through networking, research and outreach.
* Build relationships with utilities, wholesalers and OEMs; understand market trends and gaps.
* Manage and nurture long‑term relationships to increase market share.
* Represent the company at key networking events, exhibitions and industry conferences.
* Oversee the sales funnel and ensure appropriate follow‑up and closure.
* Collaborate with UK sales, sales support and marketing teams to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
* Coordinate with marketing, product and operations to provide transparent market feedback on conditions, price and positioning.
* Lead, motivate and align the sales team to meet targets and create a results‑driven culture.
* Track, analyse and report key business‑development metrics.
* Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports for leadership.
* Adopt best practices in CRM and leverage data for decision making.
* Support preparation of the yearly budget and medium‑term plans.
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Qualification: Business Management, Business Administration.
* Overall experience: 10–12 years in new sales or business development.
* Preference for candidates from the UK and Europe.
* Industry experience in fusegear, electronics or switchgear with power distribution, wholesalers and OEMs.
* Global OEM business‑development experience across Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe (combination acceptable).
* Strategic partnership development: collaborating with senior leaders, analysing market trends and gaps, and creating credible annual plans.
* Technical qualification: experience qualifying fusegear products, penetrating major OEM accounts, and expanding across multiple industry verticals (renewables, LV & MV power distribution, motor control, industrial machinery).
* Tactical sales: driving targets, collaborating with sales support, reporting to board, building partner networks, and closing opportunities.
