Clinical Research Specialist Nurse – Cystic Fibrosis

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical research specialist nurse to support the Cystic Fibrosis research portfolio within the All‑Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit and CVUHB Research Delivery Team. The post holder will work closely with the Cystic Fibrosis research team at University Hospital Llandough, lead on their own allocation of clinical studies under the direction of the Research Team Lead, and collaborate with the multi‑professional team caring for patients with cystic fibrosis and the wider research delivery teams.
The All‑Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service has an extensive and expanding research portfolio, including early phase clinical trials. With over 350 adult CF patients, the research team is growing to meet the expanding needs. The post holder will support high‑quality specialist patient care within a large multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse / current registration with the NMC
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP and National Framework or equivalent demonstrable knowledge within a required disease site (e.g. Bronchiectasis and/or cystic fibrosis)
* Knowledge of clinical and research terminology
* Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate actions
Experience
* Evidence of previous patient and multi‑disciplinary team contact within the work environment
* Experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience within a specific area
* Project management
