What skills and experience we're looking for
We are excited to be recruiting a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our new specialist secondary school, created to support students with autism and a range of additional needs. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new role within a growing, forward-thinking educational setting.
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled individual with strong behaviour management experience and a solid understanding of positive behaviour support principles. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students in lessons, delivering bespoke and flexible learning for those with personalised timetables, and leading learning activities within an agreed system of supervision.
The post holder will also provide high-quality pastoral care to support students’ wellbeing and engagement, as well as assist with their medical needs where required.
