We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Care Support Worker to join our team at HMP Stafford, a category C men's prison located in Stafford.
Hours
We are looking for part time:
* 2 x 11.5hrs shifts per week (7.30am till 8pm) - 23hr contracts
* 3 x 11.5hrs shifts per week (7.30am till 8pm) - 34.5hrs contract
Salary
This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £26,500 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Social Care Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* You will contribute to and support the delivery of social care within a secure environment. Implement clinical social care packages.
* Assist patients, with activities of daily living, respecting individual needs, dignity and privacy in all necessary activities.
* Deliver healthcare work under the supervision of a qualified nurse, organise own workload and assist patients in all activities of daily living. Apply appropriate knowledge and understanding of patient’s individual needs, in accordance with care plans.

Qualifications Required
* NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
