About the Role
The Fleet Services team seeks a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop teams at Woolsthorpe and Eastcroft Depot. The workshop provides maintenance and repair services for the Council's internal fleet and external customers, including taxi testing.
The successful candidate will deliver vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and examinations, ensuring compliance with legislation, DVSA requirements, the Council's Operator's Licence, and internal policies.
You should be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards. This role offers a chance to join a forward-thinking authority expanding its electric vehicle fleet, including opportunities at the Nottingham Electric Vehicle Services centre (NEVS) at Eastcroft Depot, which provides electric vehicle servicing and repair.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
* MOT Tester certification
* Full driving license with Category B entitlement
* Experience in light vehicle maintenance and repair
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
