George Salter Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community and we are seeking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated inclusion team in a busy and inclusive secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people by supporting their learning, confidence and personal development. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support students with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence and achieve their potential. Your work may involve 1:1 support, small group work, and in-class assistance across a range of subjects. Key Responsibilities: Provide effective support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning strategies Support pupils in lessons, small groups and on a one‑to‑one basis Promote inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour for learning Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral staff Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and contribute to pastoral systems where appropriate Uphold high expectations for learning, behaviour and safeguarding George Salter Academy is a friendly, happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community.
