SEN Teaching Assistant Aspire People are working in partnership with a Special School in Prestwich who are looking to recruit a dedicated, motivated behaviour support Assistant to support within their KS2 department. - Special School Prestwich - September 2025 start - Long-term and casual positions available - Pay: 13.00 p/h - £15.00p/h The Special School caters for young people with Social Emotional Mental Health and who have had a difficult period in their lives. They aim to ensure that the provide necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives. Pupils are taught in small groups, where they study the core curriculum and receive the extra support they require. Students are then able to make good progress as staff can ensure that learning is tailored to individual student needs. The role The role of an SEN Teaching assistant will be to build and maintain positive working relationships with the pupils and assist them in overcoming barriers to learning to achieve their true potential and accessing the curriculum. As the children can display signs of challenging behaviours, the successful applicant will have experience supporting pupils displaying these behaviours and display a resilient, calm approach to their practise.
