We have an excellent opportunity for a Commodity Risk Management Analyst to join RWE’s Offshore Projects & Investments team. Support the team in building clear, decision-useful visibility into risk exposures across the offshore wind portfolio. The role focuses on data integrity and exposure analysis, contributing to risk management and hedging strategies, and coordinating across cross-functional teams to ensure risks are understood, tracked, and managed intentionally.
You will support project teams by analyzing commodity, inflation, and indexation exposures; contributing to the development of standardized reporting; and helping implement agreed risk management approaches. You will work closely with cross-functional teams on contractual assumptions and learn to apply the team’s in-house modelling tools to real project decisions.

About the role:
1. Support identification and quantification of commodity and inflation exposures across projects
2. Maintain exposure models, assumptions, and supporting data tracking how exposures evolve across lifecycle stages (pre-FID through operations).
3. Assist with analysis of project indexation risks, helping to inform risk management and hedging recommendations.
4. Learn to use and apply our in-house modelling and reporting tools, providing analysis and insights to support project decision-making.
5. Collaborate with colleagues in Procurement, Controlling, Commercial, AG, and RWEST.
6. Assist in preparing and delivering clear presentations and reports for project teams and senior management.
7. Grow your knowledge of the renewable energy market, commodities markets, and risk management.
Job requirements and experience:
8. Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a numerate subject such as economics, finance, engineering, mathematics or similar.
9. Excellent analytical and quantative skills.
10. Strong Excel skills; familiarity with other tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, HTML, or Microsoft Azure is an advantage but not required.
11. Analytical mind, with attention to detail and an interest in understanding what drives numbers and trends.
12. Good verbal and written communication skills; able to present information clearly to others.
13. Collaborative team player; open to feedback and ready to contribute to team discussions.
14. Experience with financial or cost modelling is beneficial, but not essential.
15. A postgraduate qualification or direct experience in finance, economics, mathematics, or renewable energy is a plus, but not required.
