Salary: £35,000 pro‑rate
We are currently seeking an IT Technician to join our busy team. Reporting directly to the Regional IT Manager, this fixed‑term engagement will focus on supporting the upgrade and modernisation of our Microsoft 365 (E5) environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to end‑users, addressing issues related to hardware, software and network systems, both remotely and in person. Support will be needed within the factory, which includes the abattoir.
* Install, configure and maintain computer systems, software and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and security.
* Assist with the management and maintenance of the companys network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and other networking devices.
* Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, documenting resolutions and escalating more complex issues to the IT Manager as needed.
* Conduct regular system backups, updates, and maintenance tasks, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
* Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations to the IT Manager.
* Assist with IT projects, including the planning, implementation and testing of new hardware, software or network solutions.
* Support the upgrade and modernisation of the Microsoft 365 (E5) platform, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
* Assist with user migrations, mailbox changes, device readiness and post‑migration support related to the E5 programme.
* Provide hands‑on user support during upgrade and change activities, including floor‑walking where required.
* Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and identify ways to support their goals and objectives.
* Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, software and licences, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge with the IT team and suggesting potential improvements.
Skills And Experience
* Ideally, you have experience in a similar IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking concepts would be advantageous.
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (E5) environments, upgrades or migrations would be advantageous.
* Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical users.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
* Familiarity with industry best practices and security standards.
* This role requires you to support our teams both in our offices and factory.
