Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by managing accounts payable, processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of the mechanics of financial transactions and workflow. Duties Assist in managing accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records. Utilise accounting software Xero to support financial operations. Prepare and reconcile financial statements and reports as required. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial transactions. Maintain organised files for all financial documentation and correspondence. Support the finance team with additional administrative tasks as needed. Experience Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role within the financial services sector is preferred. Familiarity with accounting software including Xero is highly advantageous. Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders professionally.
