We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistant's and LSA's to support teachers and pupils within Primary and Secondary school settings on a temporary supply basis, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment while assisting with classroom activities and student support.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning
* Assist students with additional learning needs where required
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
* Support pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes and school activities if required
* Assist with classroom organisation, displays and learning resources
* Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety procedures at all times
* Adapt quickly to different school environments and age groups
Primary School Duties May Include:
* Supporting phonics, reading and numeracy activities
* Assisting with creative and practical classroom tasks
* Providing pastoral support to younger pupils
Secondary School Duties May Include:
* Supporting students across a range of curriculum subjects
* Working alongside SEN departments or intervention teams
* Assisting students with organisation and classroom engagement
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexibly across different schools and year groups
* Positive, patient and proactive attitude
* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in education settings
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Previous Teaching Assistant experience in Primary or Secondary schools
* Experience supporting SEN students
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ or equivalent
* Behaviour management experience
* Knowledge of the UK school system and curriculum
