Job Overview
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals, particularly young people between ages of 8 years upwards, ensuring their well-being and supporting their daily activities. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can effectively communicate with both children and their families. You will be responsible for implementing care plans and facilitating a safe and nurturing environment.
Duties
* Provide direct support to children, assisting them with daily tasks and activities.
* Implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.
* Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during care.
* Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Skills
* Experience in childcare or working with children is essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and their families.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
* Proficiency in IT to manage documentation and facilitate communication within the team.
