We are a free and confidential service for adults (18) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances. We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. At River you will support people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. As a Criminal Justice Support Volunteer, you will be working in close collaboration with Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinators and Criminal Justice Services. You will be assisting Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinators in their caseload management, supporting the service user through their community order or licence conditions. This can include completing assessments, risk management plans, support in facilitating groups and undertaking one to one work. This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of working within both the Recovery Coordinators and criminal justice fields. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. This is rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the lives of others. Key Activities: Support the team to ensure that telephone calls and visits from service users, outside agencies and RIVER staff are dealt with promptly and courteously. Provide service users with basic advice about the services and signpost them where appropriate To ensure that admin, record-keeping and communication within the project are maintained. Support the team in managing/booking appointments via the electronic diary system Send outgoing letters to service users and partner agencies Maintain general office administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and scanning Maintain accurate records of all contacts on our case management systems This role is based in our busy city centre hub.
