Location: Regional areas 1,2 and 3 Salary: £13.55 - £14.15 ph in addition to your pay, you will be entitled to a corresponding holiday pay uplift based on 12.07% of each hour worked. This will be payable at the same time as your pay and recorded seperatley on your payslip. Hours: Work as part of our team of Flexible Support Workers (Bank/Relief) choosing when you work. Our daytime shifts are typically long days 07:00-2200 or half days 0730-1600 or 1600-2200 although this may vary from service to service. Waking night shifts are typically 2000-0800 or 2130-0730. You must be currently working in healthcare or have recent UK based healthcare experience within the last 12 months! ( we may have to clarify what formal qualifications in Social Care means – if this is with regards to apprenticeships, I’m not sure we offer that to relief, so we may need to take that part out ) 28 days paid annual leave (paid monthly based on hours worked). We now have many services throughout the Wirral and NW Cheshire We want our Support Workers to be: willing to learn about autism and the work of a support worker able to make a real positive difference to the lives of the people we support great team player able to work flexible hours over shift patterns be reliable ( key for relief workers ) What will you do as a Flexible Support Worker: Work across our regional area 1,2 and 3 services to include complex care Accompany the people we support to leisure and personal activities or appointments Support people to attend work or daytime activities - often in our own Day Services Help to maintain good domestic standards within the service (house) – encouraging the service user to participate in all domestic activities. Help with personal care if required Update paperwork/online care systems and other administration tasks as needed Prepare meals for or with the people we support – ensuring they have a healthy and balanced diet. Administer medication as and when required (full training provided) Support people through times when they are feeling anxious and display risk behaviours Due to a high volume of applications, we may need to close this vacancy earlier than expected.
