FJB Systems LLP has an opening for a new multi-disciplined engineer to join our small, but dynamic team. FJB are an engineering consultancy providing fully independent advice to our clients. Projects range from small consultancy work to the total turnkey design & project management of food manufacturing and cold storage facilities. Our clients include well known household brands.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and self-motivated degree qualified engineer who has a desire to progress quickly. The candidate must be willing to learn & work in new fields; dealing on a multi-disciplined level with architecture, electrical, mechanical & structural engineering. The work will involve all aspects of consultancy and design including report writing, making presentations, detailed design work (CAD & REVIT), calculations, reviewing and adapting specifications, site measurements, administration, project management etc.
The candidate will work from our Weybridge office, but is required to travel to client sites, as required.

The following summarises the principal requirements/job description for the candidate:-
1. It is a pre-requisite that the candidate is fully IT capable. Full capability with email, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & general computer knowledge is both expected and considered a default requirement. It should not be necessary to teach these items.
1. AutoCAD - the successful candidate will be trained in 2D CAD and 3D REVIT, although a prior knowledge is preferable. We are a design company and a substantial amount of time will be spent designing using these platforms and surveying sites.
1. Graduate engineer; electrical, mechanical or refrigeration (chemical) - and willing to work within the other disciplines; we are multi-disciplinary.
1. Practical experience of engineering would be considered of benefit to the role (i.e. from self-interest).
1. The role will involve meeting & presenting to current & prospective clients.
1. Experience in the food processing industry would be considered of benefit to the role - but not essential. Interest and enthusiasm are the key requirements.
1. Industrial refrigeration experience would be considered of benefit to the role - but not essential. Interest and enthusiasm are the key requirements.
1. Attention to detail - accuracy and attention to detail is an essential part of what we do. The importance of accuracy cannot be emphasised enough - the successful applicant will enjoy accuracy and detail.
1. Willing to carry out all roles involved in a project; our engineers take the project from start to finish. This will mean undertaking less interesting work at times, which cannot be delegated to someone else! However, you will feel rewarded with ownership of your project.
1. Willing to learn. It is recognised that no candidate will meet all of the requirements stipulated. Hence, a willingness to learn quickly and self-develop is essential.
1. Enthusiasm for engineering. We want someone who is interested in what they do and strives to improve designs & solutions for our clients.
1. Self-Motivated and interested in self-learning - actively hunting out knowledge.
1. Early starter. Located in Weybridge, many of our clients are based in the north of England meaning that travel to meetings will sometimes require early starts & finishes.
1. Working from our Weybridge office. This is where we develop and share our ideas and designs and is an essential forum for learning.
1. Report Writing - ability to write reports.
1. Driving licence - would be ideal - but not essential.
