AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovations they rely on.

The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions, ensuring safety procedures are implemented and facility operations run smoothly.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Follow and maintain the highest safety standards, encouraging a world‑class safety culture and managing remediation of safety risks in conjunction with other teams.
* Own safety initiatives and projects that foster a strong safety culture.
* Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment (UPS, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFDs, Transformers).
* Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log‑taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).
* Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
* Handle manual lifting of equipment as required.
* Work shifts (morning, late and night) and participate in on‑call rotation for off‑duty emergency calls.
Basic Qualifications
* City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) or key electrical competencies and theory.
* Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of data center engineering operations experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or equivalent engineering.
